Sunday Last Week we organised a poetry-surgecontest, amazingly there was a pretty large turn up of participants. This is really encouraging. You have shown us that you all are with us a 100% in this campaign

There was a total of 30 entries for the contest. There was a lot of good entries,

It saddens me that i could not give those good contents an upvote of encouragement.
But do not loose hope, now i can only reward 3 participants, but stay tuned and and let us grow together, lets be optimistic about our growth.

An absence of hope, being profound,
Perseverance that took abound,
So much for the unrecognized effort,
Ignoring a person’s worth.

Pouring emotions in that certain piece,
Taking it all out and feeling at ease,
Heart felt words that would make you cry,
In a solemn place, a tear fall in her eye.

Emptiness felt from deep within,
Finding something that’s similar to him,
Falling from that ravine of despair,
Trying to escape but seeks nowhere

Routine

8:00a.m.
Emptiness is a shaking lips,
Ashamed to utter honesty.
It wastes itself voluntarily,
The finest words spelt in reverse.

3:00p.m.
Emptiness is a vacant memo,
Jotted with drops of damp sorrows.
In between two pages a wilted rose,
Kept to be tied up with a lover’s ego.

10:00p.m.
Emptiness is a barren room,
Swallowed by the sunken shadows.
The sullen sky behind the windows,
Resembles the home in a mother’s womb.

12:00am
Emptiness is a solemn music,
Bidding farewell to an elusive peace.
The noise still trembles; it never ceased,
Resounding from my dreams up to the attic.

8:00a.m.
Emptiness is a pale skin,
Suspended in the ceiling.
An anxiety overlooked in a poem;
A failure to give life a reason.

An equivalent of the dollar worth will be sent to the winners in SBD.

The poetry with the first place will be used for this weeks contest, which poetry appreciation. The owner of the poem will be a host judge for the poetry appreciation contest. This contest will be hosted by @ajremy, once the contest post has been made, i will edit the link into this post.
