A nameless nation (original poetry)

in #poetry4 years ago

Dashed away the hope of the masses,
Like a believer longing for the coming of Christ.
Before later committing adultery;
As he could no longer wait.

Land, full of resources has been robed,
By fewer calling themselves rulers
Who indulge in nothing good,
Other than lifting high the banner of our land;
We are being robbed by our own people, our leader.images - 2020-02-12T165917.597.jpeg

We are rob of our forefather sweat by our own,
Who promise us heaven and earth at the rally,
Their manifestos is like heaven and earth as big as it is,
But all is fake glory.
Once they emerge,
The masses becomes enemy to be trample upon.
They have forgotten who made them emerge.
They have forgotten that the journey is not forever,
They will soon disembark.
And learn their lesson in a hard way.

The land that kills it own product,
Who see nothing good in local product,
Who drain the energy of the potential go getter.
And make the situation hard to get over.
They had better, as the judgement is getting closer.
And if they manage to escape.
Their generation must surely suffer.

Thanks for visiting my blog, till we cross path next time.

Sweetly written my friend. There was a time where I wrote something like this I tilted it building the nation maybe I might even write another. Honestly the nation Nigeria is fucked, no better word to use

It seems we are not heading any where brother, confusion is all over the places. No Job that befit one's certificate. Hustle here and there without little or nothing to show for it.

Honestly the certificate is Just so if opportunity ever arises, nothing is certain in Nigeria. It's just so shameful.

The demand for graduate is relatively lower than the supply which is why it is difficult to see where to function and our country don't provide enabling environment for research.
