“ Life is an Ocean “ by James Jackson 21st of April 2026

There once was an old sailor down by the shore, watching serenely the light dance before
He thought on his Life, all that had been, on how it all, seemed like a dream
He thought on his wandering, the places he,d been, he thought on what his old eyes had seen
He thought to what, he,d lost and found, of brothers on ships, now, laid to ground

Life is an Ocean , pleasant and green
beneath her clear waters are hidden your dreams
When you walk on Bright waters, you'll feel like a King
But turn your back to her, you might feel her sting

There came a young damsel a walking the sand, carrying cool water in a jug in her hand
He called out to her, please give me some drink, ill sing you a song that'll make you think
I'll tell you of treasures, mysteries untold, I'll tell you of places all built out of gold.
I'll make it so real, you might think you can hold, for this cup, my dreams, I have sold.

Life is an Ocean, pleasant and green
beneath her still waters are hidden your dreams
When you walk on Bright waters, you'll feel like a King
But turn your back to her, you might feel her sting

The damsel gave him water for the sailor to drink, he began a singing before she could think
The song took her over, she started to dance, around the old sailor she feverishly pranced
On seeing this raw beauty, his heart grew bold, upon her fine raiment this sailor took hold
Soon the poor damsel was as naked can be and in full shock , she ran into the sea.

For a beauty like her,s, a thing to behold, so he just sat there waiting, even though he grew cold, but he sat there just waiting, he,s there still,
sat there waiting, where he'll always be

So he sat there waiting to take in her lines, till the end of his days, the end of his times.
He sat there waiting, he,s there still, once the birds of the ocean, had taken their fill

Life is an Ocean, pleasant and green
beneath her still waters are hidden your dreams
When you walk on Bright waters, you,ll feel like a King
But turn your back to her, you might feel a sting

The old sailors still waiting, always at hand, his bones lie half buried down there in the sand.
Nobody with prayers to save him from sin, all that remains him, are these bones and a grin
Nobody with Mercy to dig him a hole, nobody with prayers that might save his soul
All that remains of him, are these two eyes of coal

Life is an Ocean, pleasant and green
beneath her still waters are hidden your dreams
When you walk on Bright waters, you might feel like a King
But turn your back to her, you might feel her sting
