We woke wasted and weary
thawed feelings and numb reveries
flustering through the snow
gnashing like smoking chimney
when our bodies are yearning,
to be ignited by shallow desires
yesterday is like tears to the eyes
a burning recollect in flames
we doused our moments in fumes
now we're gliding the frozen memories

The bond we solely share,
is strong as empty promises
the kisses, rainbows in the moment
we loved like the surface of the river
never flowing till tomorrow
the silence is louder than pain
and the letters are written in fading ink
like utter deception wrapped in cellophane

---

We're gliding through frozen memories
unearthing the smiles and the cheers
like lightening we dazzled sons of men
planting roses in the desert
we spoke counterfeit speeches
and they rotted like fishes in the sand
now we've crumbled like sand castles
wrestling with the doubts in our loins
love is a sentence blown to the wind
but never nestled like a dove in a tree.

like friendly strangers on the road
toasted in grief but smiling in relief
we want to walk the seas like Peter
but the wave is a fiery bastard
forgotten and buried tomorrow is anew
we've spilled blood instead of love
and now we're humans without haemoglobin
