Poem to Sons and Daughters of Zeus
Poem To Sons and Daughters of Zeus
You warrior gods and goddesses
Trivialize your gallant goals when you
Take orders from screens of all dimensions,
Charging after phantoms,
Wounded fisher kings awaiting healing.
The prism that bends
Your perceptions upside down, oh how
You want to believe, but
How hierarchies of assets
Skew what is deemed precious.
First go off alone and sit.
Feel your own unassailable truth
See beyond the soulless powdered voices,
Perfect-jacketed candidates, costumed priests,
Robed judges, actors all inviting fear
And faith in multitudes of stingy gods
Who are but painted clowns.
Push forward through the fog.
Represent Love humbly and naked, whatever the cost.
Rise into your status, Keepers of Peace.
Let the overpaid voices talk to themselves only
In their distant mirror world.
