Some old Pokemon drawings I found from the year 2000-2001

in #pokemon7 years ago

Hey everyone! This is @acidyo

Was looking through some folders of my old drawings and found this little collection of when I was starting out and practicing my drawing skills on Pokemon. I remember I had also drawn the original 151 but a friend back then made me a good deal to trade them in for Pokemon Trading Cards instead and I thought "I can't pass on this, I can just draw them again later". I never did. :P

So here are probably my oldest drawings I have left of the Pokemon #152-251 when I was around 11 years old.

Guess I got tired of coloring them til the end. :P

I really wanna find some time soon to pick up drawing again. The feeling of creating something from scratch is really nice. :)

wowwww cool drawings bro ,
i used to love watching Pokemon when i was a kid and Charizard was my personnel favorite. but in your drawings i loved HIPMONTOP the most :) :)
there was a time in my life when i used to play TAZO's like crazy ,
let me tell you one of the instances

i was in 5th grade back then . Year end exams were going on and Mathematics was the last exam. I am writing my year end mathematics exam. in between i felt the need to use the washroom so i went up to the invisilator and asked for the permission . she said okayyyy but first let me check your pockets . it took her 15 mins just to collect each and every TAZO. hahahaha :) :)

i had 150 TAZO's or so in my pockets :p
Couldn't have risked it keeping them in my bag. there were instances where tazo's were getting stolen.
After the exam my best friend and i had planned to play tazo's with our 6th grade seniors, we being the partner's had won 20 new tazo's at the end of the day . yo :) :)

Wow! You really have some serious talent there! As a kid (even now, btw!) I used to LOVE Pokemon... I had a book where I'd (tried) drawing the first generation pokemon and wrote all the stats and stuff next to it.

I called it my own pokedex :D Soon though, realizing that even my Voltorbs ended up looking like Ditto, I decided to stick pictures instead of drawing :D

Thanks for rekindling my memory :) More (steem) power to you!

This is really sweet, which one was your favourite?

Out of those? I liked the mini versions of the older ones like Elekid and Magby, but the legendary dogs were pretty cool too. So hard to catch in the games, though. :)

Togepi! These are really awesome. I never tried to draw pokemon. The only thing I drew when I was younger were anime figures. Well... their heads that is. I was not really good at drawing anything else. Managed to do Goku pretty well, though he's very easy to draw anyway!

If the guy I buy carved coins from heard you say this, he'd probably lose his mind. I had him carve Goku into a golden dollar for me, and he had to redo it twice because he couldn't get the hair or face right, haha. Ended up taking him like 8 or 9 hours to get it done instead of 2-3.

Ooh ouch! Hmm... let's not tell him, shall we? Though I'm guessing having to carve him out into coins really does add a lot of extra difficulty! Do you have a picture of it perhaps? I'd love to see how it turned out!

Edit: nvm, found them!

It does to an extent, but he has done much, much more complex designs and I just thought it was hilarious he had such an issue with Goku of all things, haha! And, I do! Here you go :)

Love them :D
What an amazing talent this guy has!

There were some DBZ drawings in that folder as well, haha! :D Can share them another time. ^^

Anime was really fun to draw.

Is this enough to entice you into 100 percent posting those drawings? Because those need to be shared with us, lol.

Haha I remember seeing the Goku one before I think. :D

He really did a good job in the end though!

I'm sure I had to have posted one or both of these before, haha. I absolutely adore them. I'm actually going to try and get him to carve me a Charizard coin pretty soon! Either that, or a Tyranitar since those are probably my 2 favorite pokemon, haha!

You know what's funny about this coins, man? Facebook just removed my post about these two coins specifically saying that it's illegal for me to post and share these anywhere on their website because they don't know the god damn laws in regards to carving on coins.

I love the ridiculous bullshit of that website. I only stay on there to keep in contact with old friends and family members, but I'm getting sick of it. Sorry for the mini rant, just pissed off about it and I love how I can post these anywhere else on the internet with no problem -_-

Haha, that censorship. Yep, they are causing their own downfall.

Seriously, dude. I've never experienced this before, and it really pisses me off. I can't wait until everyone jumps ship so I can get the hell off there forever.

Oh my gosh, they are so awesome! Definitely a lot better than what I could do on paper if that's any consolation to him :D

Ooh awesome, I'd love to see them! Yeah, I had a pretty long Anime period where I watched it a lot and had a few friends to chat with about all sorts of anime shows. Was a lot of fun to draw and basically the only drawing I really did. Not done so in yeaaaars though.

Those are super nice @acidyo I recall you telling us that story about trading the cards in chat. I think I'll show these to my kids, they love pokemon.

Wow. Don't you just love finding stuff like this to reminicise about. That's why I tend to keep creative stuff like this that my kids have created. Thanks for sharing!

and knowing that on the blockchain it will remain forever also feels pretty good. :)

Yep. I have posted some early stories written by my daughter a while back for this very reason.

Nice drawings! Pokemon's my childhood memory too!! So many years gone and the colours are still vivid.

Dude, these are great! You definitely have some pretty good drawing talent! And, I'm not saying that just because I love Pokemon, haha. You should for sure get back to drawing if you enjoy it, man. I'd love to see more!

Nice drawings!

Your drawing was so good
which pokemon was your favourite?
are you a big fan of pokemon now?
