Cannabis Legalization In Canada Is NOT What You Think! - Here's The TRUTH

In this video, I report from the mountains of British Columbia, Canada on the rollout of marijuana legalization as Justin Trudeau's Liberal government maps out their cannabis regulatory complex.

We talk with Chad Jackett of Grass Roots Medicinal, Liberty Farms and The Cannabis Growers of Canada on his farm North of Whistler about being self sustainable, the quality of privately grown cannabis versus the LP product, how cannabis gets from farm, to dispensary, to the table and of course the situation with legalization.

Chad, being a true free market business owner has worked hard to provide an incredible product which helps countless people in need of medical marijuana. With the new legalization agenda, small businesses will be unable to compete in the market in most cases due to heavy government regulation, taxation and therefor monopolization of a few major corporations, most notably those entrenched in Big Pharma.

Legalization is simply government taking away a right and giving it back at a price and that price is regulation and theft.

Well, speaking of those regulations, they include a possible 14 year prison sentence for transfering buds. For selling to someone under 18. For growing or carrying more than the legal limit. That isn't an end to prohibition, that's prohibition times ten with a government revenue complex.

The taxes are $1 a gram and the quality of government, LP cannabis is terrible. Not to mention irradiated.

From Chad, we go to Grass Roots Medicinal in Squamish, British Columbia to talk with Molly Schneider about her experience working in the business, how important a free and open market is in the cannabis industry and the patients she gets to help in her day to day work.

This is an extensive issue that doesn't just stop at "legalization" but cannot be settled on for less. No one should ever settle for less than true freedom. Freedom of the individual. The freedom of individual demand. Not the coercion of the state as the public apathetically bows down with the chains they revere accepting further state servitude and propaganda.

Sounds about right. Government destroys the free market...helps all of their big pharma buddies and the people get stuck picking up the tab. I guess this is how you get that "free" health everyone speaks of.

Yup! At the end of a gun with 12 hour waits in the waiting rooms for a scheduled MRI 9 months later. By then you're already dead. Then when you add up all the ways we're taxed, it's about 65%, sometimes as high as 75%.
Canada is not a good place. lol

Ha. I went to Toronto for a comedy festival a few months ago...man I was taxed on everything. I'm not even from Canada. I guess we will have to wait and see how long this wealth redistribution works. Not looking too good in Venezuela.

lol I hear you, Canada's heading in the same direction. Taking a lot of leads from Germany too unfortunately.

greedy bastard trying to compete with the american hard working free market lovers... they have to scam and cheat, they don't know better. I think it depend on china need for raw stuff, until recycling quicks in, and good bye canada, australia, rest of the world.

what makes me laugh is how most tasks in canadian hospitals have been outsourced to private corporation (the famous public2private scams pushed by the authoritarian antifreemarket globalists), who don't do the job and still take the money. Of course they bribe those in the gov who granted them the task in the first place. they are as transparent as roman water.

They have been doing it over and over again. It's this crony capitalism that interrupts the free markets and plays favorites to special interest groups who are in the politicians deep pockets. That is why the Blockchain needs to thrive. An open source public ledger that cannot be manipulated, changed, and can be seen by all. We need to go back to sound monetary policies and stray away from Keynesian Economics.

exactly, keynesians economics is a scam to loot by too stupid to produce but manipulative and lying enough to deceive, until a real market participants enter the arena, and wake the crowd to those who make them unable to compete with the real market participants, and generally as this market participants will have the lethalest army the battle is over before even having begun. you will note that they lost the battle as they have resorted to censorship... they understood that their ideas were inferiors and as such to not lose their mind capitves moved to silence the liberators, forgeting that the market is the biggest liberation force in the universe as it recognize propriety and worst for them the God given of free speech... your products sucks because... mine is better because... critical thinking etc.

remember that the "gov" isn't something that felt from the sky, it's an institution, but there are individuals. all retrace to the individual, what they voted for or against, where they got or didn't got their bribes, etc... there isn't a single entity. it would be like saying weed is bad. it has no meaning. this weed is toxic because... logic, reason, facts. no political bullshit.

God, that sucks so bad... I used to go up to BC all the time when I lived in Seattle, and the buds were always superb... Those came from Kelowna or Pentincton, I think, but were always organic and tasty...

As a current resident of Colorado, I see the cannabis industry being taken over by Monsanto, and other big agra firms... They buy the fertilizer companies, like General Hydroponics is a big one... It's getting so that many dispensaries in Denver have explicit labels on their product, how no inorganic chemicals were used to grow it...

We need some international standards NOW!!

(sorry, I get really passionate about this... It is the only medicine that helps my autism...)

exactly, there is two ways to do it. one is the crony way, where gov is used to fosters private interrests, it can be in all shades of scam, and the other the gov isn't used but enforce rules agreed by all market participants to create a rich and diverse market. the key word is transparency. S&P ! a good analogy is beef, you want cheap hormone no grass no ground beef, here it is, you want ground grass no hormone loved by his cow mother beef? here it is, don't whine, the price is a multiple of the cheapest... what it isn't cheap, yeah, that's the true price of quality. thanks for your post !

don't smoke, it's bad for health... don't do anything illegal, and fight those who want to oppress others by stopping them from smoking or eating sugar or doing abortion or putting dick in their ass, or who knows what but be honest and truthful so that you can get them executed for the shit they are. kill them with kindness as the cutie would say...

once upon a time, down south there was a major who asked transporter to pay a tax or he wouldn't let them cross the village. the transporters chose a few residents of the village who had elected the mayor, cut them in pieces and spread them across town. the mayor never dared to interfere again with the transport networks. What can't be solved though violence? only one thing : love.

If I'm smoking it on the street and it's not "illegal" then how will they know where I got it from? Sure gov monopolizes everything, but it doesn't stop the black market from supplying things cheaper and better.

I agree the black market is better because it's a free market. The only problem is, the black market is even further criminalized under "legalization" where instead of 2 years in prison you can end up getting 14 years in prison for the same thing.
This is terrible.

Wow cannabies make it legalize

Damn, i thought we would get better products if govt's would legalize weed, and i was so impressed with Canadian govt legalizing marijuana, i even thought of moving there in the future, this is the kind of news that should pop up in mainstream media, instead of the click bait articles they do shower.
