In your write up, you wrote that nigeria is blessed with intelligent, smart & edicated people. I want to ask, if thepeople are so intellingent & smart, where are there leaders from? We must stop deceiving our selves. I read a post that said late president Nelson Mandela was hated by his with teacher & the teacher sort different avenue to display his racial act towards Nelson. "One day he (teacher) asked young Nelson Mandella what he will choose if given to bags one containing wisdom and another containing money and Young Nelson Mandella said he will choose the bag of money . The teacher replied telling the class that he would choose w isdom, he wanted everyone to see that Nelson Madella was not as intellingent as he profess to be, young Nelson Mandella looked at this teacher ,shrugged his shoulder and said " everyone choose what they dont have" this made the teacher very angry, the week the teacher gave the class and examination to write and while marking Nelson's script he wrote the word"idiot" and handed over to Nelson , when young Nelson saw what his teacher wrote on his script, he thought for a while and not wanting to be rude quietly went to teacher who was already waiting to see his reaction, young Nelson Mandella said " excuse me professeur, you wrote your name on my script but forgot to write my scores" .
That' s what i call intellingence & smartness.
Our leaders steall our money to develop other people's country, when commoners try to make their own houses & family better, thieves, witches kill or destroy them.
The wolrd thieves and witches are english words so they are their also, but these occultic groups work for the development of their houses, family and countries.. must tell ourselve the truth, " do we know what we want?" If yes then lets think of doing the right thing.
Great comment my friend!
We have the culture of seat tight by African leaders! When people like Robbert Mugabe held to power for many decades with all the apparatus of government, how do you express your intelligence when you are not given the opportunity?
I just pray that somehow we find a way in Africa.
Maybe, we will have to use Babatunde Idiagbon's style.. to incoperate discipline., if a Babagida will not plot a coup.
May God help us.
I don't think Nigeria is ripe for democracy! We will keep learning for the next century. We keep pretending that we are a young democracy and we embark on the politics of greed and self satisfaction.
