Bob Dole Receives Highest Honor

Former Republican Presidential Canidate of 1996 and long time Senator, Bob Dole, was rewarded for his life long serivice to the United States. President Trump awarded Dole with the Congressional Gold Medal today in a ceremony in front of a large crowd.
Dole not only served Kansas extremely well throughout his career, but was also close to becoming President. He ran against Bill Clinton in 1996 but fell short. Dole would continue his dedicated work in government as well as a philanthropist for several decades.
Dole's health has gotten. Bad over the last few years and spends most of his time in a wheel chair. But today he smiled with joy as President Trump presented him with the honor. Thank you for a great career Mr. Dole!
