Electric Swatter vs Bug Spray
What you're looking at is called an electric swatter and it's used to do one thing and it does it so well, killing bugs. For everyone that doesn't like to use the insect spray and you want something else, this is a good option.
So I'm about to compare it with to the mosquito spray and we'll see which one is best. I've used it multiple times and it really works well. But you have to hold it but the handle to swing it and make sure the insects touch the metal mesh. If they touch the metal when the device is off, nothing will happen. When you turn it on it's like a mini electrical fence but with less voltage than a fence. You are very safe with it, the voltage is not high enough to kill you or really injure you but it's electricity so it'll sting. I would advice you don't touch it especially when your hand is wet.
The electrical metal mesh will zap the bug and literally set it on fire because of the relatively high voltage to the insect. It's a gruesome way to die though.
Unlike the spray there will be no fumes, no residue, no waiting around for a chemical to do its job. That immediacy is what matters to anyone that prefers this. But I don't use it very often because I can't go around swinging, I don't have the time. I think the person this best fits is someone that really hates the small of all insects killing sprays.
But it does the job well. You buy it once, charge it, done. No running to the store because you ran out of a can. No throwing anything away, as long as it's charged it's ready. That's the advantage, you won't keep replacing it. If I add the costs together, this might save you some money if you handle it with care of course.
But the catch here to using this device is you have to see the bug. You have to get close. If it is hiding behind the fridge or buried in the wall, the swatter is completely useless to you. That is the main use case limitation against the spray.
The sprays will reach the places you cannot. They can get into cracks, corners, spots you would never think to check which is mostly where the mosquitoes rest to bite you at night.
Spray wins hands down for coverage area but it'll cover every part including your nostrils. you are breathing that stuff. It does not disappear the moment you stop spraying. It'll b in the air, it'll even land on your tables and chair.
People will be spraying chemicals it in their kitchens, around their kids, in small rooms with little to almost no ventilation whatsoever. Isn't that a health decision you need to consider? That's why I choose to use this and then I'll use the spray once a while.
