Science and religion are not fighting, we are

There's so much confusion with religion and science. Well with science, it's more if we don't know everything yet, and with religion it's more of, this is what we believe and we're ready to die for it

But if you take out human emotion and look at the real thing on the ground, Science and God are not fighting, they never were. Those who did not understand them started that fight.

Every great revelation shows how this world was created. The more we descend, the more complicated it is. That does not limit my faith, I think it subjectively validate it.

The Bible was not written for germs. Not to be a book of biology or physics. Not to be a book readable in an age with no concept of bacteria, atoms and a growing universe. Trying to read it in that way is a futile act in of itself.

It has a simple but still difficult job, to guide us on how to treat one another. The moral aspect is why I think it has great value, not whether it got the facts about the universe right.

It does well in showing us how to coexist with our fellow people, without destroying everything else.

Science is telling us how.

How the universe works, how life began. How the brain experiences pain, sadness or joy. Faith is attempting to tell us why. Why all of that matters, why we feel it should.

Every time we find out a new layer of reality, be it small or the entirety of the whole sky, it appears planned. It has many layers and it appears made to be. It might mean nothing because, the concept of design can easily be discounted for being a proof of a God.

Or it might mean what it appears to.
I am not trying to convince you otherwise. I have believed this for a long time and I still do. The more I learn, the more I think this world is truly wonderful. The evidence continues to confirm that. Every new thing we discover clarifies the picture. This is faith doing its job, but science is how we keep knowing for sure too.
