When you look up at the sky in the dark of night, it is difficult to estimate the vastness of the universe, but this picture you are seeing is a truth of our universe that is as beautiful as it is surprising.

It is called the "Andromeda" galaxy, which is the closest neighbor of our own galaxy (the Milky Way) in this great ocean of space. Scientifically, its most unique thing is its distance. It is about 2.5 million light-years away from us, meaning that in this picture, we are seeing Andromeda as it was 2.5 million years ago; we are actually looking back in time.

Estimate the vastness of this galaxy by the fact that while our own galaxy has billions of stars, Andromeda has more than 1 trillion stars and countless planets orbiting them. The most interesting fact, which most people are surprised to hear, is that Andromeda and our Milky Way galaxy are constantly coming closer to each other.

These two galaxies are traveling towards each other at a speed of millions of kilometers per hour, and about 4 billion years from now, they will collide and merge. This great merger will create a new and very large galaxy that astronomers call "Milkomeda".

At the very center of this galaxy is a very powerful black hole that has kept all these stars in order with its great attraction. This is not just a picture but a glimpse into the power of the universe, time travel, and the future that tells us that we are not alone in this immense expanse, but are part of these great cities of stars.

During this collision of galaxies, the amazing thing will be that the stars will not collide because there is so much space between them, but our sky will change forever, and the night view will become much brighter than before.
