The Boötes Void: The Strangeness of Our Universe
There are about two thousand billion galaxies in the universe. If we divide them among every person on earth, then every child, old man, and young man will have 250 galaxies. In which there are not billions but trillions of stars.
Thus, there is no shortage of stars and planets in the universe, but there are also some places in the universe where there is nothing; that is, there is no name or sign of stars and planets there. This is very strange, isn't it? There are stars and planets everywhere in the universe. But this area is completely uninhabited; it is dark here.
In 1981, NASA scientists saw a mysterious area about 700 million light-years away, which was very strange. Because this strange and empty area was empty in the middle of the universe, decorated with "galaxies".
This strange area is called "the Boötes Void" in the language of scientists.
This area is empty, so there is intense darkness in this "area" because there is no solid body for the reflection of light. The universe is in a severe state of load shedding in this area... NASA scientists believe that the speed at which the universe is expanding. And the way it is expanding in every direction, there should be thousands of galaxies in this place, but there is nothing far away.
Why has the matter of the universe not reached this area? This is a mystery. This seemingly empty area is so vast that if we build a spaceship that can travel from Asia to America in a second, which is apparently impossible, and this spaceship starts traveling from one "edge" of the "Bootes void". Then it will take 300 trillion years to reach the other edge of this "Bootes void".
When we send space vehicles into space, we put sensors all around them. They detect things from all sides and move forward. If we remove those sensors from them and throw them out, they cannot travel in space. Because there are space rocks everywhere in "space", they will collide with them immediately and will be scattered there in a second. But if we leave fifty thousand space vehicles in the "Bootes void" area without sensors, they will cover a "distance" of trillions of years.
But they will not collide with anything in this area, because there is nothing in this area.
According to scientists, the expansion of the universe began with the Big Bang. This expansion was completely uniform everywhere. Matter was distributed equally everywhere. Then stars, planets, and galaxies came into existence in the universe from them.
NASA scientists were shocked when, in 1981, Sir Robert Kirchner discovered a void in the constellation of Bootes, 800 million light-years away from Earth, which was completely uninhabited. It was given this name because of this "constellation".
If we calculate the expansion of the universe since the Big Bang, and then. So, based on the expansion that has occurred so far, there should be at least ten to twelve thousand galaxies in this space, but there is nothing like that there. Although there are other empty spaces in the universe, such a vast area, and that too completely empty, is beyond "understanding".
