It all starts as a curiosity; Another asteroid that we saw pass.

On October 1, an asteroid brushed us, this is real, it flew over Antarctica at only 428 km high, that altitude is similar to the altitude that the International Space Station and China orbit, because they are between 370 to 460 km high and it is also an altitude at which many satellites orbit.

Asteroid 2025 TF is small, measuring approximately 1 to 3 m in diameter, about the size of a computer desk to that of a small car. It was detected for the first time by the Catalina Skyway, they did so a few hours after passing by Earth, unfortunately, it would have been better to detect it a little earlier because, although it is so small in size and does not represent a significant danger, it can produce spectacular fireballs, like the one seen in Spain and Portugal a few months ago.

When these types of objects enter the atmosphere, it is normal for them to suffer one or more explosions in the air, and yes, some fragments may end up impacting the surface, although Antarctica is very unlikely to have caused harm to a human or seal or penguin, so it did not pose a risk, but it is not something abnormal either.

Every year there are two or three cases of these and one ends up impacting, what happens is that it ends up impacting the ocean and we don't find out about it, unless it is captured by a satellite.
