It all starts with a curiosity; The blue giant stars.

The blue giant stars like the one shown above are very very large, very luminous and very hot, they are so large that in principle their surface is not well defined, but is very very diffuse, and the one shown is the Naos star in particular, which is curious for another reason.

Z Puppis or Naos is a runaway star that goes alone through space, it goes alone through space, not because it wants to, but because it was thrown away from its group, runaway stars are stars that travel through the galaxy at much higher speeds than normal because they have been thrown away.

Most likely, they had a companion star that exploded in a supernova and that expelled it from its star system. Curiously, I thought that this star would not have planets around it, but it does, so far 8 exoplanets have been discovered around Naos.

In practice, stars like Naos are terrible places for planets; the extreme temperature and radiation break down molecules and evaporate atmospheres, leaving worlds bare and scorched or directly melted into lava.
