It all starts with a curiosity; The fate of the Juno probe.

Souce

The Juno spacecraft that is or was, I don't know how it is, but it is orbiting, yes, it is in the Jupiter system, it was scheduled to end its mission on September 30 and on a date in October it will also be launched into the clouds of Jupiter.

Abraham Loeb proposed at the time, at the beginning of September, that it be directed to meet 3I/Atlas because it still has a small amount of fuel and since the mission ended on September 30, it was not a ship that was going to be used for more things, so it could be launched towards 3I/Atlas and take as much data as possible from this interstellar object, because the Juno spacecraft is equipped with quite powerful instruments for that task.

But, with this stoppage and closure of NASA and the United States government, we do not know what is happening with Juno, we do not know when that mission is going to occur to dive into the clouds of Jupiter and find out what is under there, we do not know and in fact there is a small risk that it will end up drifting, but right now things are in limbo, we do not know what is going to happen.
