At that time they were sophisticated computers, but for us there are toasters that have greater computing power than the computers of those ships, but greater multiplied by 10, although it would not have mattered if it had landed safely, because surely the same end would have awaited it as its sister, the Mars 3 managed to land softly on Mars, it was the first ship in history to land on the surface of another planet and to send information from this Mars.

The problem is that it only lasted 20 seconds, the fault was the global dust storm of 1971, something that the Soviets could not foresee before the launch, Mars 3, on the probe it has a black thing on top, that black thing is this wonder, this little toy, it is the first rover in history, this one was specifically called ProOP-M, it was a very primitive mini rover weighing only 4.5 kg, it was like a shoe box and instead of wheels it moved on two wide skis that you see work a bit like a tank, it was not independent, it was connected to the landing module by a 15 m cable that It supplied the energy and data and despite its small size and how primitive it was, it carried scientific instruments capable of studying the terrain where it was going to walk and explore. This small rover could not prosper due to that global dust storm.
