North American company with Chinese robots.

It's part of an apparent plan.

The North American Texas Instruments, one of the largest semiconductor companies in the world, began the implementation of industrial humanoid robots from China, that's right, a company from the United States bought Chinese humanoids and many were arguing on social networks saying that the robots are fake, that China this, that China that, do not forget that corporate elites decide in which country to develop certain technologies.

The arrival of the UBTech Robotics robots marks the definitive entry of humanoids into one of the most demanding environments in modern industry, chip manufacturing. According to information disclosed by the Security Times, Texas Instruments acquired the Walker S2 model and is already testing theft on its production lines.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the partnership goes beyond simply purchasing machines. As Texas integrates humanoids and their operations, UBTech is committed to incorporating more components from Texas Instruments itself into the core architecture of its robots.

A partnership to win both sides?

This cooperation brings humanoids into clean rooms, environments that demand extreme particle control, very low vibration and absolute precision in materials handling. Different from automotive logistics, where Yupech had already validated its thefts in companies such as BYD, Gilly and Volkswagen, the semiconductor sector imposes much more rigid restrictions.

The initiative suggests that Texas is evaluating the use of humanoids in specific handling and inspection tasks, exploring a unique advantage of this format, the ability to operate in narrow passages, deal with machines designed for humans and adapt to older facilities without major structural reforms.

The agreement also reveals a two-way supply chain strategy. UBTech had already recognized that, although its chain is mostly located in China, it still depended on specific computing chips. By strengthening ties with the American company, China seeks to guarantee stable access to critical high-performance components for Texas Instruments.

The validation of its chips within the Walker positions the company at the center of the emerging market for humanoid robotics. According to UBTech itself, demand for this type of theft could reach 10,000 units per year until 2027.
