Tesla is accelerating the development of its humanoid robot, the Optimus, and according to Elon Musk it could become the greatest product ever created, not only in technological impact, but also in scale. The company is now in a critical phase, leaving prototypes behind and entering the most difficult territory of all, mass production, this can already be clearly seen, Tesla began a global recruitment campaign looking for engineers and specialists in artificial intelligence and high-level professionals in various areas, a direct sign that the project stopped being experimental and became industrial.

What really draws attention is the new direction they are giving to the robot, the next generation is being developed with a specific objective, getting closer and closer to the human form, according to engineers involved in the project, the robot could reach a point where it will not even appear a machine, but a human with a kind of technological suit and this is not just aesthetics, it is functionality.

The new hand system, for example, is being designed to have dozens of actuators, allowing extremely precise movements capable of manipulating delicate objects. Within laboratories, robos are learning tasks such as washing clothes, something simple for humans, but extremely complex for machines, because it involves dealing with objects that constantly change shape.

To teach all this, there is another even bigger challenge, data, a lot of data, Tesla is investing heavily in simulations, reinforcement learning and massive information collection, because in the end the bottleneck is no longer the hardware, it is teaching the machine to understand the world, this explains the urgency, the company is racing against time and against the competition.

Other companies are also moving fast, competing for talent and trying to get there first in this new market, because if this robot really reaches large-scale production, the impact will be gigantic. A new workforce capable of executing physical tasks with precision, scale and continuous availability and that completely changes the rules of the economy, why, for the first time, we are not just automating machines, we are automating human labor itself, but building a robot is one thing, making it work like a human is completely another, right?
