Now the revolution is also happening in the heavens.

A Chinese aircraft has just made its first flight and promises to completely change the way we move. It is the Blanin R6000, a tiltrotor aircraft that combines two characteristics that previously seemed incompatible, the vertical takeoff of a helicopter with the speed and range of an airplane and it is not just a concept, it has already flown with a weight of about 6 tons.

R6000 was designed to operate in scenarios where traditional runways simply do not exist. cities, mountainous regions, maritime platforms, places where today access is difficult, expensive or limited, at take-off, its rotors act like helicopter propellers, allowing it to climb vertically, once at a height they tilt and the aircraft begins to fly like a conventional airplane.

The result is impressive.

The cruising speed is 550 km/h, almost double that of a helicopter, range up to four times greater than traditional aircraft, load capacity of 2 tons, expanding its possibilities, in addition, its design reduces exposure to the heat of the engines during takeoff, allowing it to operate on common ships and offshore platforms without the need for special adaptations. This opens doors to a new, more flexible, faster and much more accessible air transport network with applications ranging from regional transport to rescue, firefighting and emergency operations.

And all this is part of something bigger, a new market that is emerging below 1000 m altitude, where drones, helicopters and hybridized aircraft are beginning to share the same space, a sector that could move hundreds of billions of dollars in the coming years.
