Titan, the all-terrain robot.

And if machines start working alone instead of us humans

A startup called Robot Force is making that possible with a Robot and has just raised more than $50 million to accelerate exactly that, creating robots capable of taking on tasks that they say humans should never have to do. At the center of this strategy is a robot called Titan, a two-armed system designed to operate in extreme environments where heat, dirt, rain and hazards are part of the job.

Unlike most robots that operate in controlled environments like factories, Titan was created for the real world. mining, transportation, solar energy, logistics, even space operations. All this with a set of seemingly simple, but extremely powerful actions, take, place, press, turn, connect, five basic movements that together allow you to execute practically any task.

What really sets this robot apart is not just strength, but the combination of strength with precision, it can manipulate loads of up to 40kg while maintaining enough fine control for delicate tasks and that's not trivial, but the more weight a system carries, the harder it is to maintain precision, now, add in an unpredictable external environment and you have one of the biggest challenges in modern robotics. To make things clear, Robot Force decided not to depend on ready-made components, they created their own sensors, their own hardware and mainly their own artificial intelligence system trained with real-world data. Because according to the company, the true test is not when everything is perfect, it is when it rains, when it gets dark, when the terrain changes and when something unexpected happens.

There comes an increasingly important concept in current robotics, learning based on real data combined with simulation, the robot learns in the virtual world, but becomes stronger in the real world. Today Titan is already being tested in more than 12 countries and the idea is to scale it globally, create a robotic workforce capable of operating 24 hours a day in any conditions and when these machines start operating in the real world, the question cannot be avoided. Are they here to help or to surpass us? Because it is one thing to perform dangerous tasks, it is another completely different to exceed human physical limits.
