The Artificial Intelligence that manages fleets of robots.

It is a fact that each robbery was always treated as an isolated machine with its own brain, learning alone, making mistakes alone and evolving slowly, but that is beginning to change thanks to the company Humanoid which revealed a central artificial intelligence system called KinetIQ, designed to control not one robot, but entire fleets of them at the same time.

It is as if dozens or hundreds of different robberies began to share a single digit; in the demonstration video, robots on wheels organize products in supermarkets, transport boxes and operate entire logistics flows, while a bipedal human serves people, chats, takes objects and performs service tasks, all operating under the same intelligence architecture, despite having slightly different bodies.

The idea behind KinetIQ is simple and at the same time radical, instead of programming each robot individually, Humanoid created a layered AI that defines objectives, plan and actions and coordinates execution at the fleet level, on top is the strategic layer that decides goals, priorities and overall optimization of operations, below a layer of robotic reasoning, decomposes those goals into smaller tasks and adjusts the plans as the environment changes.

Then comes the execution layer that translates real decisions and movements: taking, moving, walking, positioning and finally, the physical layer, which controls balance, stability and whole body movement at high frequency, all of this happening at the same time at different speeds, like in a distributed artificial nervous system.

The most important detail is that learning is shared, if a robot learns something new in a warehouse, that skill can be transferred to service theft, retail and home environments, it is no longer a robot learning, it is the entire fleet evolving as a single organism, and if a robot fails, the system does not stop, KinetIQ simply reassigns the task to another more suitable machine, keeping the operation in flow.

According to the company, this model marks the definitive transition from script-based robotics towards the so-called scalable physical AI, where reasoning, planning and movement are no longer separate modules. and they begin to function as an integrated whole, this is the beginning of something greater, robots ceasing to be individual tools and beginning to operate as living intelligent infrastructures, capable of sustaining real, continuous and large-scale operations.
