The first humanoid receptionist.

When a robot looks at you, recognizes your emotion and responds naturally, we are still talking about a machine, that is what the Chinese startup presented to reveal the Hobbs W1, a human service robot designed for reception and customer service, with a feminine design, realistic face, an interactive viewer and locomotion on wheels, Hobbs W1 was designed to operate in hotels, companies, schools and corporate environments.

It moves autonomously, navigates complex internal spaces and performs orientation tasks while interacting directly with people. Technically, Hobbs W1 goes beyond traditional social robots, possessing hands with 6 degrees of freedom and arms with five, which means more joints, more precision and more human-like movements.

This allows for more natural gestures, delivery of objects and light physical tasks, something rare in attention-focused robberies, the most impressive point is in the combination between body and behavior. NOETIX Robotics claims that the Hobs W1 manages to recognize emotions, maintain natural conversations, and synchronize information in real time, all while moving independently.

Not standing behind a counter, accompanying people, guiding visitors and acting as an active link between humans and digital systems, this launch does not happen in isolation. The same company recently introduced the Boomi, a child-sized humanoid priced below $1,400, something unthinkable until recently.

NOETIX Robotics' strategy makes clear a larger movement, making humanoid robots accessible, integrated into everyday life and financially viable and the speech is the standard, not to replace people, but to take on repetitive tasks and free humans for more creative and social functions.
