Around 30 humanoid and quadruped robots took part in a demonstration in Warsaw, Poland, calling for stricter rules regarding the development of artificial intelligence. The protest took place outside the country's Ministry of Digital Affairs and presented an unusual scene. Robots walked in circles and carried flags alongside slogans calling for job protection and AI regulation, though the machines themselves did not organize the demonstration.

The event was created by the Polish group Democratism, an initiative aimed at sparking debate about the impact of artificial intelligence and robotics on the labor market. The organizers used the robots as a physical demonstration of technologies that, they argue, will be capable of taking over an increasing number of tasks currently performed by humans.

The machines present included humanoids, bipeds, and dog-like quadruped robots. One of the key participants was the Edge H3, a humanoid developed by the Chinese company Edge Bot. Equipped with integrated voice recognition and a large language model, the robot was used by organizers to answer questions from journalists. During the demonstration, the Edge H3 conveyed the message that the robots present served to show that this technology already exists and can operate in the physical world. Slogans such as "defend jobs," "time to create rules," and "don't wait, regulate" were broadcast over loudspeakers as the robots moved in front of the ministry.

The group's primary concern relates to employment; according to the organizer, two different forms of automation are occurring simultaneously. Humanoid robots could take over certain physical tasks, while artificial intelligence systems could automate some of the cognitive work performed on computers. The organizers believe that rules need to be developed before these technologies are deployed on a much larger scale.

The demonstration also drew direct attention from the Polish government; representatives from Poland's Ministry of Digital Affairs visited the site and spoke with the event organizers. Kokowski stated that uncontrolled artificial intelligence models, when integrated into increasingly advanced humanoids, pose a problem that must be addressed as robotization progresses.
