The robot for the home environment.

The robot for the home environment.

The 1X company began large-scale production of its humanoid robot Neo in a new industrial plant located in California with the goal of reaching 100,000 units by 2027 and the most impressive thing is not in the technology, it is in the demand, according to the company itself, all the initial production capacity, more than 10,000 robots, was sold out in just 5 days after the launch, that is, the market is not curious, it is ready.

The Neo was designed to operate within homes, helping with everyday tasks such as mobility, organization and basic support. Unlike industrial robberies, it was designed to coexist with humans, interact with domestic environments and execute simple activities with consistency. This completely changes the landscape because the moment robotics leaves the industry and enters the domestic environment, it stops being a production tool and becomes part of the human routine.

But what sustains this advance goes beyond design because 1X adopted a verticalized production model by internally manufacturing essential components such as motors, sensors, batteries and mechanical systems, this type of control allows something decisive, rapid evolution.

When the company controls the body of the machine, it accelerates the development of the Behavior and here comes another important point, Neo is powered by the Jetson Thor Nvidia platform, capable of processing artificial intelligence directly within the robot in real time, this means that it perceives the environment, makes decisions and executes actions without depending totally on the cloud, the robot reacts, the robot learns and the robot adapts, before even reaching homes, these robberies are trained in virtual environments using advanced simulations where they repeat thousands of scenarios until reaching stable behavior, it is accelerated learning and the detail that almost no one noticed is simple, this It is not being done on a small scale, it is being done as an industry.

The robot will initially be offered for around 20,000 with a monthly subscription option, a model that brings this type of technology even closer to the common consumer, but producing robots is not the biggest challenge, the real game begins when someone manages to scale this aggressively and the main robotics companies are executing it.
