Your robotic teacher at school.

In recent decades, technology has entered the classroom in the form of computers, tablets, and digital whiteboards, but a new chapter is now being written: for the first time, a U.S. school district has decided to integrate a life-sized humanoid robot into the school environment to serve as a teacher's assistant and student tutor.

The project is taking place in Salamanca, New York, and represents one of the most ambitious experiments ever conducted in education incorporating artificial intelligence. The system was trained using the school district's own instructional materials, allowing the robot to align precisely with the content being taught by the teachers. Outside of class hours, students continue to have access to the assistant to clarify questions, review exercises, or reinforce their learning at any time of day.

Another important feature is automatic translation into various languages, allowing immigrant students to receive instant explanations in their native tongue, thereby reducing the language barriers that often hinder their adjustment to the school environment.

The project began with technology-related subjects such as robotics and web development, but the plan is to gradually expand its use to hundreds of students. So, what do you think about this use of robots? Do you approve of it, or do you think it’s a bad idea?

Sorry for my Ingles, it's not my main language. The images were taken from the sources used or were created with artificial intelligence
