Inside, the envelope was one old paper which was nearly tearing to the finish. The writing bend but was still clear: “Raihan, I never Left as you thought. Every evening I do come out to sit under the mango tree, to wait for you. If you still remember me, come here I am.”
“Oh my God! What is this one again? Is anyone spying me around here? Who would that be?" Raihan said, his heart beating like a drum. He wanted to run at first but he hold his breath and maintain his body reaction. Everywhere was quiet, only frog and cricket was shouting on their own as if everybody is was asleep not knowing it was a plan scene.
He walked to the backyard and saw no one and beside was the mango tree still standing tall there. As the breeze blow, he heard a gentle familiar lovely voice:
“Raihan… is this you?”
He turn shapernly. From a shadow, he saw Zainab showing up. It's the same Zainab which he thinks and was told that she as travel abroad long ago. Her eye was shining with tears, but smile was on her face like a morning sun.
Raihan nearly fainted seeing him. “Zee! I thought that you have traveled and forget me since! We're is your husband and kids.”
She laugh a little and shake her head. “Forget you? My husband and my kids ?What will I?. It's just that your father that lie to you that I have travel. My family and your family didn't want us to marry that time. But I was still stubborn, I stayed i didn't want to travel out of country as my dad said to work abroad. On my mind i still believe i will surely see you one day. I do wait for you every single day.”
Raihan felt bad and said; "I kept calling your number every single day but it wasn't going I thought you purposely did that so that I won't disturb you anymore since our parents didn't want us to marry."
"Not really" Zainab said "I lost my phone and all my contacts I have been living a sorrowful life not hearing anything from you".
Raihan said "Ohh my Zee I missed you so much, I do see you on my dream every night."
Before Raihan could finished talking, one old man came out from inside the house—its the gateman which has been living here since. He clears his throat: “Raihan, it was me that hide the letter. I knew that one day, you will return. Love doesn't die, it just sleeping to regain strength.”
Raihan was weak to hear all this, but joy full his body. He hug Zainab tight, tears and laughter mix together.
Suddenly, thunder came and rain begin to fall heavy. Instead of them to run, the two of them dance under the rain like little children. Neighbours begin to gather, clapping, shouting: “Love has win! Love has win!”
By the time the rain stop, Raihan kneel down, pull out one small ring which he still carry since his university days. “Zee, please marry me today. I can't wait again.”
Zainab shout: “Yes I'll marry you today! I have waited too long!”
Everybody cheer. The forgotten letter which nearly scatter their destiny turn to the key which open new joy for them.

This is such a sweet and emotional love story. The old letter, the misunderstanding, and their reunion under the mango tree made it very touching. I especially liked the message that true love never dies. The happy ending in the rain made the story beautiful and complete.
