Today I am writing about an interesting Steemit Engagement Challenge S30- W4: which is all time my favourite topic ""Potato Magic Challenge” : "Potato Paratha"" this amazing challenge organised by @bdwomen .

The ingredients required to make Aloo Paratha are as follows:


Potatoes
Wheat Flour
Salt
Red Chili Powder
Onions
Fresh Coriander
Green Chilies
Refined Oil

  • "The method for making Aloo Paratha is outlined below, which I have shared here step-by-step:**

  • First, I took the potatoes and washed them thoroughly with water. I cut the larger potatoes in half so that they would boil faster, and then I placed them in a pressure cooker to boil.

  • I let the cooker whistle at least three to four times, and then I turned off the gas.

  • Next, I took the wheat flour, added a pinch of salt to it, and prepared a dough by gradually adding water while kneading.

  • I drained the boiled potatoes into a colander to ensure all the excess water drained away. Then, I peeled the potatoes and mashed them thoroughly.

  • I finely chopped the onions, fresh coriander, and green chilies.

  • Now, into the mashed potatoes, I mixed the salt, red chili powder, chopped onions, and chopped coriander.

  • I mixed everything very well to ensure the spices were evenly distributed throughout the potatoes.

  • Next, using the dough we had prepared earlier, I rolled out small balls to make the parathas. I flattened each ball slightly with a rolling pin, and then I filled it with the potato stuffing we had prepared.

  • In the meantime, I had placed a griddle (tava) on the stove to heat up, ensuring it was hot enough so that the paratha would not stick to it.

  • Using the rolling pin, I rolled the paratha into a circular shape, making it as large as I desired.

  • Then, I placed it on the hot griddle and cooked it on both sides, applying refined oil generously to ensure it cooked evenly. Once it was perfectly cooked, I served it alongside a sweet chutney or sauce.

  • And just like that, our Aloo Paratha was ready to eat!
