Match reviews

Arsenal looked like taking an away win at Watford and led 0-2 before Watford scored twice in the 2nd half to earn a draw. Aubameyang scored twice, but eyes will be on David Luiz who has had a poor start at Arsenal, and gave away a late penalty.

Bournemouth earned a deserved victory over a poor looking Everton as Callum Wilson netted a brace. At 7.8 million, Wilson looks like a bargain buy right now.

Liverpool maintained their 100% record at home to Newcastle even though they went behind early on. Sadio Mane scored twice and looks an excellent choice in the midfield for Fantasy League managers - .9 million cheaper than Salah, and with only 5 fewer points.

Manchester United's first home win in 4 games came from the spot as they earned all three points against Leicester. The Reds had missed two penalties already this season (Rashford and Pogba) but there was no mistake this time as Rashford netted early on.

Burnley snatched a late point at Brighton as a injury time rocket by Hendrick leveled the tie.

In what looked like a close game, Southampton just got the better of Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. VAR took centre stage as a Sheffield goal was ruled out just prior to the only goal of the game scored by Djenepo.

Tottenham returned to form with a convincing win over a weak looking Crystal Palace. Both Son and Kane were hotly tipped to pick up some points and it was Son who delivered for the few managers who selected him this time around. Spurs were also only one of three teams to keep a clean sheet this week.

Chelsea spanked Wolves at Molineux with the excellent Abraham scoring a hattrick, and one in his own goal. Wolves are still to record a win and last seasons form seems far away at present. Lampard has got Chelsea playing, helped by the form of Abraham and Mount who look like good picks for Dream Team managers.

Norwich pulled off the surprise result of the weekend as they beat Manchester City be showing that attack can be the best form of defense. Star man Teemu Pukki scored one and provided an assist in City's first defeat of the season which left Pep Guardiola wondering why he left KDB on the bench. The champions are now 5 points behind Liverpool in this years race for the title.

Steem Fantasy Premier League Standings - Week 5

Teofelix remain at the top of the SFPL even though they scored fewer points this week than any of the teams in the top seven. Smiley Fries went on a charge and collected 78 points this week, 26 points more than the average, moving up to 4th thanks to the likes of Wilson, Aubameyang, and captain Mane, who all scored twice.

Dream Team - Week 5

Week 5's Dream Team scored 128 points as they triple captained Tammy Abraham, who would have bagged even more points if it wasn't for his unfortunate own goal.

Popular choices this week, James (most transferred in) and Salah (most captained), failed to reach the Dream Team XI which likely left a number of managers frustrated.

Tottenham's Son was player of the week and earned 16 points.

On we go to week 6, selections close on Friday 20th September at 6pm UTC.

Nice view from the top. 😄 Although I didn't expect to remain at first position. Small typo, it's Teofilex not Teofelix.🙂

Oops, that's my fault, more work for @acidyo :)

Well done so far!

Thanks, Asher!

At 2nd position 😍.
Thanks to gameweek 4 and 5.

Nice one!

I couldn't believe last week worked so well for me.

On Saturday I was slightly above average and jumped to a position below 40. I was a bit mad with the fact that my bench overperformed with 12 points.

On Sunday the unthinkable happened. Wilson and Auba scoring twice was a blessing and my score improved a lot.

After the leagues were updated I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I turbocharged into the 4th postion!

Good luck everyone for next week and remember that City lost Stones due to injury

Upvoted!

I dropped a few places, scored a lowly 45 points.

Can't believe the City result!

Yeah I had a bad week too.

Crazy result but a deserved win for Norwich!

Having a bad run of form, Martial getting injured has really put a dent in my plans, hopefully i can regain some ground in week 6.
