Fear is more dangerous than poison
A farmer in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang was working in a field when a snake bit him on the finger. His senses were disturbed, and he made a panicked decision to stop the poison from spreading throughout his body, which surprised everyone. Without realizing it, he immediately cut off his own finger and threw it away so that the poison would not spread throughout his body.
He immediately reached the hospital bleeding. There, the doctors stopped the bleeding, but what he heard was a big shock for him.
The doctors said that almost all snake venoms can be treated if the patient reaches the hospital in time. But the really surprising fact was that the snake that bit him was not fatal. On the contrary, the venom of this snake is used in medicine, especially to treat joint pain.
Thus, it was not the poison, but fear and ignorance that caused irreparable harm to this farmer.
Sometimes, what a person fears, considering it a threat or danger, is not a specific threat, but rather, misinformation and unnecessary fear about it are destructive.
