The crypto market is not mature so some bad players try to destroy the image of this. We get to know about back events in this market and this is bad because it results in some monetary loss for many users. Many bigger exchanges have been hacked in the past and because of that judges have to deal with unnecessary losses making the situation on top of this it is even worse when the project team does something unethical.

We cannot ignore that FTX and even Luna's eyes both have been the biggest bad players in this market. Tornado Cash is a project where one of the developers did some activity related to money laundering and finally, he was charged. They are the people who are trusted by the community and people invest a lot of money in their projects but when they do something wrong it does not just impact the project but also creates a negative image in the market. People invest their hard-earned money in these projects but if they end up losing it then they do not try to put it back into another project which is not good overall for this crypto market.

Tornado Cash developers Roman Storm and Roman Semenov were charged with money laundering and sanctions violations tied to their work with the privacy mixer that "facilitated more than $1 billion in money laundering," including "hundreds of millions" for North Korea's Lazarus Group. The DOJ has already arrested Storm.

Choosing the right project is very important and I believe that we should also go through the team. A proven track record is important however it is not guaranteed that nothing will happen thereafter but still some sort of trust can be gained since people have proved their trust and skill in the Crypto market. even the FTX founder has been gaoled this month which is another good news so I believe now things are getting better monitored by the relevant authorities and people are given punishment for whoever tried to become bad actors in this market.
