Great work. I've never heard of using this technique prior to a voyage. I'm currently reading the Psychedelics Explorer's Guide. I'm also writing about my experiences Once a Marine...with Psilocybin, and the science behind the trip. Always good to find a fellow psychonaut! Upvote and I'll be following my friend.
