The Art Of Meaningless Quotes
Proving once point or getting an inspiration, may come from outside source. What is this source that we are talking about? The magical tool call "Quotes."
Are you backed in corner and can't come up with your idea to to prove something? Are you losing an argument and your logic is not enough to pursue the truth? Have you ever engaged in a discussion without realizing that you can't back up what you are saying with arguments? Do you lack inspiration and need something to make you get up and do something "meaningful?" Do you want to feel smarter than you were before? Well fear no more because quotes are on the rescue.
Understanding a complex idea of some quotes maybe challenging, but sometimes it is difficult just because there is no context behind it an is completely meaningless. I believe you have come across a lot of them, especially on social media. A wide range of masses use them on their Twitter feeds, Facebook walls, etc.
I must confess, that i myself liked this meaningless sentences. The problem sometimes is the way the quote is presented. Background picture, font, author, etc. Everything plays a role. If i put a famous person in background the quote automatically becomes more attractive and it may be misleading. It may become the "ultimate truth."
Everything must be taken into account to determine whether the quote holds any meaning: Who said it? when? Why? Reading an inspirational sentence without thinking the fundamental idea that is behind it is meaningless.
Sometimes we may relate to quotes to feel special, empowered. Always seeking something to connect to and give meaning to once life. The adventure that humans embark on in pursuing the truth may never end.
But who am i to judge?! Maybe this post was written without me realizing that i took inspiration from a meaningless quote and was burned in my mind? Maybe i just proved my point wrong? Maybe i gave the meaning to a quote and it has been materialized through this post? We may never know.
