Everyone's life is filled with many problems and things, ups and downs of a person are inevitable and nothing can be guaranteed that this person will always be happy. No matter how big or small a person always have some problem. Whether it be as small as not getting the tickets to watch the favorite concerts or as big as going through some big medical problems. All of it have a certain way of reacting to it and on that basis the life ahead is decided.

So for example say there is a certain problem consider it is a small one which doesn't matter much, but you react to it in a very serious way making it the priority than anything else, what it will do is that the things that actually needed your priority and time and thinking won't be met and you will be spiraling down in the life hence causing other big problems, So in this case the problem never needed the attention but you gave it too much and you ended up getting down in life.

On the other hand lets say if there is some big problem like severe medical issues and you dont pay attention and neglect it than its gonna increase soon and as it goes by its gonna get worse and thats when you realize you needed to pay the attention earlier hence again same things and you are spiraling down in life.
