Counting of votes is beginning in the AJK elections, which have been marred by violence; two PTI workers have been slain, and five police officers have been beaten.

After the voting process was disrupted by violence and conflicts in several regions, the counting of votes for 45 seats in the AJK Legislative Assembly is started.

Voters who were inside polling booths were allowed to vote until the polling period finished at 5 p.m.

At least two PTI members were slain in a conflict with PPP activists at a polling station in Azad Jammu and Kashmir's Kotli district.
