A Rose called "Falling In Love"/Una rosa llamada "Enamorándonos"

Things continue to be delayed for my semi-retirement. The person who writes up the plan of care for the two ladies I care for did not do a plan for the one I am trying to get relocated. So, as of July 7th, I cannot bill for her daily care. She is usually hard to reach, but I left her two messages on Sunday. In the past, I have had to call her supervisor. I called again Monday morning, and she took my call. She had all kinds of excuses for why she did not do her job. So now it is a "waiting game" to be able to bill for services and a "waiting game" for them to find her a place to live. The lady's health seems to be deteriorating more. I am not so concerned if she passes away. I have been through that before. My concern is that her difficulty in care will get worse. I am already tired, so I am unsure what an increased difficulty care will do to me.

Las cosas siguen retrasándose para mi semi-retiro. La persona que redacta el plan de cuidados para las dos señoras a las que cuido no hizo un plan para la que estoy intentando reubicar. Así que, a partir del 7 de julio, no puedo facturar sus cuidados diarios. Suele ser difícil contactar con ella, pero el domingo le dejé dos mensajes. En el pasado, tuve que llamar a su supervisor. Volví a llamar el lunes por la mañana y me atendió. Tenía todo tipo de excusas para no hacer su trabajo. Así que ahora es un "juego de espera" para poder facturar los servicios y un "juego de espera" para que le encuentren un lugar donde vivir. La salud de la señora parece deteriorarse cada vez más. No me preocupa tanto si fallece. Ya he pasado por eso antes. Lo que me preocupa es que empeoren sus dificultades para recibir cuidados. Yo ya estoy cansada, así que no estoy segura de lo que me supondrá el aumento de las dificultades en los cuidados.

My daughter and granddaughter are also care providers in their homes. My granddaughter is considering taking my second person but must wait until April or May. This person is easier to care for and goes to a day program four days weekly, for seven hours per day. I can handle things until my granddaughter is ready.

Mi hija y mi nieta son también cuidadoras en sus domicilios. Mi nieta está considerando acoger a mi segunda persona, pero debe esperar hasta abril o mayo. Esta persona es más fácil de cuidar y va a un programa de día cuatro días a la semana, durante siete horas al día. Puedo ocuparme de todo hasta que mi nieta esté preparada.

In the meantime, I am continuing to work on publications for Steemit and other platforms. My time is limited but I keep working on it.

Now that my eyes are healed, I am getting more physical activity. I am making gains quickly for being over 70 years old. I have been having some diseased trees cut down on my property. I have a nice pile for me to split and stack. It is a beautiful exercise with a purpose. I get bored with exercising, but I plan to do that when winter returns. I have a treadmill, and a friend is giving me an exercise bicycle. Doing strenuous chores is more motivating. Since contracting Covid and everything else that has happened over the past two years, I am happy to get back in shape.

Ahora que mis ojos están curados, estoy realizando más actividad física. Estoy mejorando rápidamente. He cortado algunos árboles enfermos de mi propiedad. Tengo una pila de madera cortada para partir y apilar. Es un bonito ejercicio con un propósito. Me aburre hacer ejercicio, pero pienso hacerlo cuando vuelva el invierno. Hacer tareas extenuantes es más motivador. Desde que contraje Covid y todo lo que ha pasado en los dos últimos años, estoy contenta de volver a ponerme en forma.

I still plan to visit some Botanical gardens this summer. My daughter usually goes with me, but her schedule is very hectic this summer. My wife's family is visiting town for her "Celebration of Life" and a family reunion this weekend. Preparations for this are taking much of her time. I will wait until the family leaves to discuss with her possible outings to get some photographs. If she cannot do it, I will plan to go alone.

Sigo planeando visitar algunos jardines botánicos este verano. Mi hija suele acompañarme, pero este verano tiene la agenda muy apretada. La familia de mi mujer está de visita en la ciudad para su "Celebración de la Vida" y una reunión familiar este fin de semana. Los preparativos le están ocupando mucho tiempo. Esperaré a que la familia se marche para hablar con ella de posibles salidas para conseguir algunas fotografías. Si ella no puede hacerlo, planearé ir solo.

My cover photograph is one of the roses I purchased in the spring to place my wife's ashes under, per her wish. It is white with a pink blush. I ordered it based on the color, and when I received it, I realized the name was "Falling In Love." Very appropriate. I placed ashes under the other bush called "Dawn of a New Day." It is yellow. I will share some photos in the future. The following two photographs are of flowers from the same rose bush. The next was taken with my smartphone, and the other with my Canon camera.

La foto de portada es una de las rosas que compré en primavera para depositar bajo ella las cenizas de mi esposa, según su deseo. Es blanca con un toque rosado. La pedí basándome en el color, y cuando la recibí, me di cuenta de que el nombre era "Enamorarse". Muy apropiado. Coloqué cenizas bajo el otro arbusto llamado "Amanecer de un nuevo día". The youngest lady I care for attends a day program. She brought this plant home for Mother's Day. I have left it in the pot it came in and it has thrived. I usually plant some petunias every year, but I did not this year. They typically do not like the heat of summer, yet this is doing very well.

La señora más joven a la que cuido asiste a un programa de día. Me trajo esta planta para el Día de la Madre. La he dejado en la maceta en la que venía y ha prosperado. Suelo plantar petunias todos los años, pero este año no lo he hecho. Normalmente no les gusta el calor del verano, pero a esta le va muy bien.

The following three photographs are blooms on one of my lilacs. They usually bloom in May. This coloration is one of my favorites. Lilacs bring back many memories of growing up on the farm. We had huge lilac bushes. As children, the bushes were large enough that we could get to the center of them and be unseen by others. An innocent time of life.

Las tres fotografías siguientes corresponden a la floración de una de mis lilas. Suelen florecer en mayo. Esta coloración es una de mis favoritas. Las lilas me traen muchos recuerdos de mi infancia en la granja. Teníamos enormes arbustos de lilas. I use a Canon EOS Rebel T5 for most photographs except where noted. I do have an older PowerShot Canon camera that I use from time to time.
