After a long time in the world of retro games

in RECREATIVE STEEM26 days ago

We often forget the small joys of life. There was a time when I would sit down and play games whenever I had free time, but now due to lack of time, that doesn't happen anymore. Today, I suddenly remembered the old days, so I thought of jumping into Steem RetroGames. As I thought, I opened steem-retrogames.com.

At the beginning, when the familiar logo of the game appeared on the screen, it felt quite nostalgic. It seemed that I might score a very good score today. I felt quite confident.

When I started the game, the screen was completely blank (Points: 0). I thought to myself, I will play carefully today, no mistakes can be made. But shortly after the game started, I realized how serious the effect of not practicing for a long time is! The blocks that I used to place in the right place in the blink of an eye, today seemed unfamiliar.

As I progressed through the game (Points: 79), I realized that my fingers and brain commands were no longer in sync. The blocks were coming down, but I was struggling to rotate them properly and place them in the correct positions. If you look at the screenshots, you will see that I left gaps in several places, which a regular player would not usually do. These mistakes were the ones that kept reminding me, "You are not in the same shape as before, friend!"

Finally, I couldn't hold out for long. The colorful blocks piled up haphazardly and filled the screen. When the "Game Over" text appeared, I smiled a little when I looked at my score. Only 214 points!

Honestly, even though I felt a little bad because of the low score, I enjoyed the game a lot. These 214 points may be insignificant in terms of the game, but for me it was a reality check. It made me realize that without practice, any skill can become rusty.

But I am not giving up. I may have lost my rhythm today, but I've regained the joy of matching these colorful blocks. I think I'll find time to practice a little from now on. Let's see if I can break this record of 214 next time!
