Let's celebrate International Kindness Day

Do you consider yourself a kind person?

Hmm. What I know about myself is that I am a friendly person who loves to meet new people after studying their behavior. This will determine whether I will associate or mingle with you. As a friendly person, I can do anything for the person I love since I know that someday it will favor me in return.

Another thing is that I love to help others by assisting them in various activities in which they are not capable. In this process, I can volunteer myself to help them perform such activities because I don't like to waste precious time and resources like that. Even if the person I am assisting abuses me, I will still continue doing the good work. All I know is that patience is a virtue for those who practice it.

I have performed acts of kindness for some people, and a few of them value what I have done for them. In the place where I work, a memo was passed around regarding the eligible worker that due for the promotion exercise. My colleague is on leave, so I need to call him to make him aware of this exercise. Although we once worked in the same department before, I later transferred to a new office. His colleagues in the same office do not call him, but I am the first person to call him due to the good deeds he has done for me.

Another instance is monitoring my friend's farm. He does not have time for some activities on his farm. I help him plant maize as well as monitor the growth of his plants. When the time comes to harvest, we gain a lot of profit. If I do not volunteer to help, much would be wasted because there is no one else to oversee the land.

Yes, of course! Like I said earlier, I helped my friend look at his farm. I have my own farm as well. Whenever we come to look at his farm, I tend to neglect my own, whether someone is stealing or doing something harmful to it. What concerns me is making his farm successful so that we can all be victorious.

I do not feel bad when someone becomes successful because I believe that sooner or later I will achieve my own. I put my worries aside to help others, especially if it won't hurt my feelings. I will attend to someone else's condition and leave my own for later, especially if my friend's circumstances need urgent attention.
