Well, I didn't know it would turn out to be this beautiful because of my color combination and the materials used. I deliberately made it creative by keeping it in a dirty place so that it would portray the fact that it was once in the trenches but is now made so beautiful and classy. If I tell someone I made this from pieces of fabric, they won't believe it. They'll think it's planned fabrics, one that I'm conscious of. Let me take you on a cinematic journey.

Materials Used

I visited my dad's trash bag and removed a good number of fabrics for selection. I emptied his trash bag to search for long fabric pieces because the short ones wouldn't have reached the length of my hand unless I were to patch it together.

Uses of My Materials

Sewing Machine	Even if the process isn't that tedious, you can't survive without a sewing machine unless you're an expert in hand sewing, but you won't be fast.
Measuring Tape	This is used for measuring the length and width of the fabrics we cut. I used it to measure the length and width of the keychain so it won't lag on my hand or be too tight when wearing it. This is very important when sewing this for commercial purposes. **You can measure the hand of the person first before marking and cutting it.
Chalk and Ruler	This is used for marking the points on our measuring tape to serve as an indication that it's the length and width we want to draft.
Scissors	These are used to cut the fabric from its markings, trim it, and make it look straight, removing loose ends.
Iron	This was used by me to straighten the fabric, which are the jean and cotton materials.
Hooks	This is used to hold the key in place, which would be sewn inside the bracelet.

Steps on How I Made It Manually

I went to my dad's shop and made use of his trash bag. In his trash bag, there are thousands of pieces of fabric of different lengths. So I took it out from its place and diligently searched to see if there were big pieces I could make use of. I took out a good number of different pieces and colors and then sampled it on the floor. I was confused as to which color would be attractive. I brought it an old blue jean short and used it for my style. I matched all the colors I selected to see which one would best fit into the jeans. It was then I discovered the brown and green material and then selected them for cutting.

Using my scissors, I spread one of the jeans and trimmed the edges very well. I then used my measuring tape to mark the length and width of 2 inches. That's the same thing I did for both of them. After marking the length and width with chalk, I used my ruler to get a straight line so that I would cut it well without slanting it. These are the two nicely cut-out jean trousers for my pieces. After cutting out the jean, I made do for the pieces with an extended 1½ inches below the edge as the background of the bracelet. I did this for both sides but with the same length. The extended 1 ½ inches is to serve the purpose of bias in the jeans, to cover the edges and make them beautiful.

After this, I took to matching them and then cut out my joining fabric, which would hold the keychain together. It was made in a wide rectangular shape that would cover the front and back pieces. I then took to sewing. I joined the background piece with the jean by making it have a bias in front where it would cover the edges of the jeans. I doubled the edges of the pieces and sewed them to the edges of the jean to cover. I did the same for the other side, and if you look closely, my thread was running by the extreme end of the bent piece.

After joining them together, I took the joint pieces that I cut into a rectangular shape and made them the covering of my extended end so I'd join it with the other end. I sewed it from the back piece onto the front piece of the bracelet and then removed it by putting the rough side inside, just like removing a bag from the wrong side to the perfect side. I did the same for the other bracelets and then joined them together by putting the other ends into the hole I created and sewing them. But before that, I had put my hook inside the bracelet before sewing it. I made sure the hook was in-between the joint covering I made, and I sewed it to lock it in. Before sewing, I tested it to see if it would enter my wrist. It did. That was how I ended the sewing of this bracelet.

I decided to iron it so that it would look sharp and straight. After ironing, I wore it, and it fit perfectly in my hand. That's how I made this beautiful bracelet-style keychain.

How did I feel?

I think this is the best recycling I've done this season. I felt so happy and joyful after doing this, and guess what? It didn't stress me that much. I respected the model of the designer, which is @lunasilver, because I actually thought of doing other things as per design, but I didn't.

How did I use my bracelet-style keychain?

I'll use it to hold my key and move about, knowing fully well that it's worn in my hand. Gone are the days when we used to clip it on our trousers. It wasn't safe because when sitting down, people could steal it very quickly.

I think I'll start producing it for commercial purposes because someone liked it. I posted it on my status, and it was liked by a fan. She said it's beautiful. Most ladies on campus usually need this to hold their phones and keys. I think I'll love this line of business, and it would be productive where we have tertiary institutions.
