Commonwealth Park, Canberra Australia
The vast spread par you're watching in this video is the famous Commonwealth Park located on the north side of Lake Burley Griffin, near the city center in Canberra, Australia.
This park is a large, centrally located urban park on the edge of Lake Burley Griffin, featuring sculptures, gardens, ponds, and vast lawns, famous for hosting the spring festival Floriade and other events.
As if that's not all, it offers spaces for strolling, picnics, and enjoying the city's landscape, and it's a popular spot for both locals and tourists to relax and engage in outdoor activities.
This park is spread over an area of approximately 35 hectares and is a blend of natural and structured spaces. You can find sculptures, ponds, and gardens located in different parts of this park.
As you can see, people indulge in different activities here, like walking, cycling, picnicking, enjoying art, and attending events, and of course children love it for different entertainments.
And yes, this park is a popular meeting point for city's love birds.
The world-famous Floriade, the flower show that Australia celebrates as a spring festival, is held every year for four weeks in this park, and I did this video during the 2025 Floriade.
But Floriade is not the only event; there is something going on in this park, including outdoor concerts and festivals.
This park has various interesting artworks and installations, like sculptures, art, and fitness activities with modern exercising equipment.
You find all amenities like picnic tables, restrooms, and cycling lanes, so I can say it's great even for an aimless visit or a leisurely walk, or maybe if you love a bike ride like I do.
Yeah, this park is part of Canberra's iconic urban landscape, offering beautiful views.
So don't forget to visit Commonwealth Park whenever you happened to be in Canberra.
