The condition of my home after the mudflow and flash floods left me with a sadness that's hard to express. The water and mud came so quickly, inundating the house and destroying everything in its path. When the waters began to recede, all that remained were traces of destruction: thick mud on the floors, dirty walls, and badly damaged, unusable furniture.

Many items in the house were submerged and destroyed. Cupboards, mattresses, kitchen appliances, and even small items that had accompanied us daily were no longer functional. Some had to be thrown away because they were beyond repair. Seeing all this was incredibly difficult. These furnishings weren't just objects, but the fruits of years of hard work and effort to build a life for our little family.

However, in the midst of this difficult situation, I can only surrender and accept it with an open heart. It's certainly not easy, but I'm trying to strengthen myself and my family. I realize that disasters come unexpectedly, and humans can only plan, while God determines everything. Amidst these limitations and loss, I choose to remain grateful.

This gratitude stems from one thing that matters most: my family is safe. My wife, my little daughter, and my mother are unharmed, and we can still be together. Their safety is far more valuable to me than any possessions. Damaged items can be recovered, a house can be cleaned and slowly repaired, but life cannot be replaced.

In the days following the flood, we spent cleaning up the remaining mud, picking up damaged belongings, and rebuilding the house as best we could. Despite the fatigue, a small sense of encouragement grew from our togetherness and support. I learned that in times of disaster, the strength of family and mutual support is invaluable. This incident served as a reminder to be more patient and draw closer to Allah SWT. Disasters are indeed painful, but they also teach us the meaning of sincerity and steadfastness. I believe that behind this trial lies a lesson. With prayer, effort, and patience, I am confident we can bounce back and rebuild our lives stronger than before.
