A love story

Not going to lie, I strongly believe in True love, and I believe it will come to me, there are so many real life experiences that has proved it to me.
Twice or more, my parents has shared their love story with us, as a matter of fact it is always a reoccurring question whenever the are celebrating their anniversary to narrate their love story. To be honest, I can never get tired of listening to it, it's always something I smile at...

What era does the story take place in?

My parents love story took place in the 20th century to the early 21st century. It was a time period when love was influenced by tradition, cultural values and strong moral principles.
Courtships were intentional rather than rushed and the partners were expected to show their seriousness, through respect, loyalty and endurance.
That era emphasized resilience, shared values which formed the basis for a lasting relationship.

Who are the main characters in the story? Describe them in detail.

The main character in the story are my parents... My mom and my Dad.

My Dad @benton3, is a very amazing person... He's kind and considerate, although he is strict but we all know that it's is for our own good.
He's someone that accepts his responsibility and also a very reasonable person too
Despite all the challenges, he is determined to make a better future for his family emotionally, physically, and most importantly spiritually.

My mom @ngoenyi, is another amazing person, she is one of the most determined and hardworking person I have ever seen. There's nothing she seta her mind to do that she won't achieve.
She is loving, patient and emotionally strong. Her endurance has helped in bringing the home together even during trying times.
Together they make and amazing pair.

📝How was love manifested in this story?

Let me share a little about their love story.
My mom was very close to my dad's family.. back then, people even viewed her like the lastborn In their home...

After meeting, My Dad and some other brothers would escort my mum home, because her house was really far from the hall, that was quite the sacrifice.

My Dad proposed to my mum in a popular eatery then, according to my mum, he was shy but she accepted.
She also said she had two people in mind and whoever proposed first would get her and my Dad was the lucky winner.

The love was manifested through actions rather than romantic expressions, shown through mutual respect and constant communication. The daily acts of care and understanding showed how much they valued that bond.

📝Is the story still relevant or was it a fleeting love that remains only as a memory?

If it was a fleeting memory, then I won't be here today, ism the product of that long lasting love which they had between each other.
Even today I still see facets of that long last relationship in a world were it isn't valued anymore.
Their love lives on through generations.
