The Diary Game || RETURNING FROM SCHOOL TO PREPARE LUNCH AND OTHER RECORDS OF ACTIVITIES || 19/02/2026

Happy weekend fellow Steemians. I pray for God's blessings upon you throughout this week, through Christ Jesus, Amen.

It was actually a very busy day. From morning devotion, going to school after working on my assignment, returning from school to prepare lunch, before going to a church board meeting in the evening, and coming home to fetch water that night for the house to run smoothly as my wife is heavily pregnant. Let me break it down into three phases:

I woke up with a strong spirit and energy in me, taking care of home chores and other responsibilities on behalf of my wife. Good enough son's school is on mid-term break making my morning runs easier for a few days now.

My morning lectures were shifted to 11 am, giving me the edge to read on the assignment I was going to present in class. While I was on the table reading, the television was on with Arise News discussing the headline of the week “President Tinubu signing the Amended Electoral Act”. It is a good move in a good direction, I pray they uphold it as amended.

It wasn't long before my wife brought me breakfast, asking me to prepare and go to school. I ate, bathed, and at about 10:45 am, I quickly stepped out to Nwaniba and picked the University shuttle bus to school. Within 7 minutes I was in my lecturer's office. We had class until 12:15 pm in the Annex Campus.

My next lecture was in the Town Campus direction opposite the Annex, just across the road. I quickly moved to the HOD's office who was already waiting for me. I had the lecture notes photocopied. The class was very interesting running down to 3 pm. At this point, the breakfast could not hold me any longer, so I went home. Thank God mini buses are everywhere once you are off campus. Before 3:11 pm, I found myself in the house at great speed.

I met my pregnant wife and my son after sleeping. I checked the kitchen and saw a few things she had prepared to cook rice. Maybe she was tired and couldn't continue, so I quickly took over because I was very hungry. She noticed I was in the kitchen when she either heard some sounds or perceived the aromatic smoke from the powerhouse. She came in and waited by the kitchen door, and she had to give me not just a shot of photos, but she happily appreciated my effort for lunch. I boiled rice, made a stew sauce and we ate that afternoon.

At 5 pm I went to our headquarters church at 73 Wellington Bassey Way Uyo for a Board Meeting preparing for our Stated Annual Meeting on Wednesday next week. It was an emergency focusing on the audited reports. The meeting that was called to order at 5:10 pm, came to a close at 6:30 pm.

I got home and noticed that there's no water. The Water Board Company was not distributing it in our area. The first thing was to go and buy a bag of sachets of water for drinking before going out to look for where to buy that evening. I got about 4 rubbers for the night.

My day was loaded, but I was able to go through it all and everyone was fine before bedtime.
