My opinion on the topic: The Therians

Hi everyone. I am @m-princess. As always I am perfectly fit alhamdulillah and very happy. Trust all my friends are perfectly fine. I am going to participate in this contest organized by @noelisdc. It is a very amazing contest. So let's get started.

In my personal opinion I do not agree with this new identity. Allah Almighty has endowed man with intellect consciousness and understanding. Which makes him distinct from all other creatures. It is natural to love animals to admire their beauty or abilities. But to consider oneself an animal or to behave like an animal seems to be against human nature. Man has adopted civilization knowledge and moral values after centuries of struggle. And adopting an identity that takes man away from his true identity cannot be called a positive development in any case.
This trend is spreading mostly through social media. Where getting attention is considered the greatest success. Many young people without deep thought adopt things that can become a means of temporary fame or unique appearance. The problem is not that someone thinks differently. But rather that this thinking is disconnected from reality and enters the world. Where emotions and temporary desires replace reason and logic.
Moreover if everyone starts redefining their identity in such a way that they go beyond the human sphere. It will become difficult to maintain balance in society. A healthy society is one where there are differences of opinion. But basic human values are shared. Therian's identity feels at odds with these values. Which is why I personally disagree with it.

In my opinion the new generation has been given too much freedom especially without guidance. Freedom in itself is not a negative thing. But when it is not accompanied by responsibility and boundaries it becomes harmful. Today children and young people have easy access to all kinds of content through the Internet and social media. Where it is often difficult to distinguish between right and wrong.
In previous generations freedom was certainly less but principles and values were clearer. Today the situation is the opposite. Laws are lenient supervision is less and parents also allow children to “decide for themselves” in everything. In the name of engagement or modern thinking although at every age a person is not mentally mature enough to make the right decisions.
This unrestricted freedom especially affects young people who are mentally weak or confused. They take the trends they see on social media as reality and start adopting them without thinking. Identities like Therin also seem to be the result of this unbridled freedom and weak guidance.
The real problem is not freedom but the lack of balance. If freedom is accompanied by moral training parental guidance and social responsibility. Then young people can develop in a better direction. Unfortunately today this balance has deteriorated. The results of which we are seeing in the form of such unusual and controversial trends.

If my daughter come to me and say. That she consider themselves therian. First of all I listen them carefully instead of angrily or jokingly. Rejecting children and young people immediately or being harsh on them often doesn't solve the problem. But makes it worse. I will ask why she feel this way and where this idea came from. After that I will try to explain to them gently and lovingly. But clearly what it means to be human. And why humans are made different from animals. I will also explain to them that not everything shown on social media is real. And that many trends are just created to get attention.
Parents have a responsibility to give their children the ability to think questions and understand the difference. If I feel that this think is result of mental stress. I will not hesitate to seek help from a psychologist or counselor. Ignoring the problem or dismissing it as “fashion” is not right. My goal is not to suppress the child but to connect him to reality. So that he can come to the conclusion for himself. This true identity as human being is stronger and more meaningful.

In my opinion the solution to this problem is not complete prohibition or blind acceptance but rather balance. - First of all parents must realize their responsibility. Educating children is not just about educating them. But also teaching them moral values realism and self awareness.

• Educational institutions must also play a role in this regard. Students should be taught critical thinking. So that they do not blindly accept every trend. Monitoring and proper guidance of content on social media is also an important need of the hour.
• It should be clear at the government and social levels that freedom does not mean accepting every behavior without question. Freedom and responsibility go hand in hand. If any behavior is harmful to human dignity. Social balance or mental health it is necessary to discuss it and set limits.

The most important solution is dialogue. Young people should be heard. But they should also be explained. Satire ridicule or hatred do not solve the problem. But awareness guidance and limits can be effective responses to such trends.

In many cases this behavior feels like a form of rebellion against parents. But it’s different from traditional rebellion. Instead of directly fighting their parents today’s youth adopt identities that are shocking and get immediate attention. It’s a quiet but visible rebellion.
When young people feel unheard or feel unimportant they look for ways to stand out. Identity formations like Therin’s may be the result of this desire. It may not be true to say that every Therin does this just to rebel. But it certainly is present in a large number.
Interestingly if this were truly a natural feeling. Its expression would not be so public and ostentatious. Often these behaviors are displayed in parks social media videos and public places. Where they can get the most attention.
So I think it’s partly a reaction against parents society and traditional values. The solution is not harshness but better relationships attention and understanding. So that young people choose a path of dialogue instead of rebellion.
