The Diary Game: [16/07/2026] My Niece's Special Day
Hello my dear steemians, welcome to another episode of my dairy session I still remain your humble @madoshi, Some celebrations you never think twice about attending, you just go alone with everyone. My niece birthday is one of them. When it came to my niece's birthday, there was no question i was staying home, clearing my schedule, and showing up fully for one of the most important little people in my life. The living room had been transformed overnight. I worked through the entire night making sure everything was set for the special day "Happy Birthday" balloons stretched across the wall in big, shining letters, and clusters of pastel balloons soft pinks, mint greens, and creams filled every corner. juice cartons, and a bottle set aside for the toast later in the day. It didn't need to be extravagant. It just needed to feel like home, and it did. Queen perched on her hair, and a pair of heart shaped, sunglasses that she kept adjusting all afternoon.
Big auntie later showed up looking stunning, standing tall in her very nice dress, hair pulled back, keeping a close eye on the birthday girl and making sure everything ran smoothly. Big sis also arrived in a striking red and white patterned dress with a matching head wrap, radiating warmth and presence, the moment she walked in the kind of aunt whose hugs feel like home. Another auntie came through in a rich purple dress, pink sunglasses
The room filled up fast. Cousins in their own party best pinks, reds, denim gathered around the cake table, some serious, some giggling, all of them part of the same joyful chaos that makes family gatherings what they are. At one point, everyone crowded around the celebrant for a prayer, making sure the name of the Lord was exalted for the gift of life. That mattered more than anything else in the room. Showing us that God has been faithful and a reminder that family is important , one way or another.
By the time the cake was finally cut, the room was loud with laughter, off-key singing, and the particular kind of joy that only a room full of children and doting family members can create. I stayed home that day not because I had nowhere else to be, but because there was nowhere else I wanted to be. Watching my niece shine, surrounded by big sis, big auntie, cousins, and friends, reminded me exactly why these small moments are worth protecting. Happy birthday to my forever baby
Today has been a really beautiful one, i am looking forward to seeing many more like it. Thank y'all for having me see y'all on the next one
