The diary game: [17/08/2026] my neighbor's birthday celebration

How was your day? I hope it was beautiful and blessed. Mine was beautiful and blessed too. Thank God for everything He does.

My day was honestly beautiful.
It started with my neighbor’s birthday. He was up very early, disturbing the whole compound with loud music and birthday songs 😂 We just had to wake up and go wish him a happy birthday.

Today is his 30th birthday. Lol, he’s getting old. He should go and marry and stop disturbing us 😂
Anyway, we wished him a beautiful birthday celebration. I told my girlfriend to arrange a small gift for him because he’s been a good neighbor and he often gives us things, so why not celebrate him too?

She baked last night and we packaged it for him. Honestly, he was really happy, and I’m glad he loved it. I also gave him wine from my shop to go with the cake and biscuits.

The main celebration was reserved for the evening. We prayed for him and then went back to our rooms. I went back to sleep because I didn’t sleep well. My girlfriend was cooking and cleaning. I told her to come rest, but she refused, so I slept off.

When I woke up, it was already 12 pm. I went straight to the bathroom to brush my teeth and have my bath. Since I wasn’t going to the shop today, I decided to sleep in.
After that, I ate rice. My girlfriend said the birthday boy brought it for us. She had already eaten one plate, so this one was mine rice and meat.

After eating, I was on the bed using my phone and listening to music. It was a refreshing and peaceful afternoon for me.

Later, my girlfriend brought out banana from the fridge. I had forgotten we had it. I would have used it to eat my rice 😂 But no problem, I started cutting it to eat. I love banana honestly.
She also brought boiled groundnut. Today was good jor 😂

This evening she made "bole" roasted plantain and sauce. She made it herself, and it was tasty, trust me. I love plantain, so I really enjoyed myself. We’re now waiting for the birthday boy to call us for the celebration.

Tonight we went to his room to sip some drinks and eat cake. Nothing much, since we don’t take alcohol. We left the main celebration for those who do.

So I’m here on my bed now, thinking about tomorrow and sharing my day with you guys.
