A Different Tuesday

How are you doing? It’s Tuesday.
Today was a bit different from my normal days. It was hectic, but also fun.
My day started with a knock on my door my sister came to wake me up.
I slept late yesterday, so I wanted to rest a bit longer. She said, “Mommy said you should drop 10 bags of sachet water in her car,” and then she left.

My mom is a teacher, but she also runs small businesses on the side. One of them is selling ice blocks made from sachet water.
Here’s how it work she buys sachet water in bulk and stores it outside. Then she moves it in batches to the freezer to freeze. Once it’s blocked, she sells it to people who run small cold-drink businesses.
They use the ice blocks to chill their drinks before selling them.
It’s in high demand, and it’s an easy business for her. She doesn’t need much energy for it, and there’s hardly any loss. So instead of stressing, she prefers this.

All I had to do this morning was take the frozen bags from the freezer and load them into her car.
On her way to school, she drops them off for her customers, then heads to work. It makes things much easier for her.
This morning, I started loading the bags from the fridge into the car.
The light hasn’t been stable lately, so they weren’t fully frozen, but they were cold enough to last.
Once I finished loading, the car was ready to go.

After that, I had to carry the sachet water that was still outside and load it back into the freezer so it could get cold again for tomorrow. It was easy work I just carried them two by two, and boom, I was done loading. A while later, my mom headed off to work and my sister went to school, so I was left at home.

I went to brush my teeth and drank a chilled sachet of water. I normally do that every morning before eating taking water on an empty stomach.
After that, I spent some time on my phone before having breakfast.
I ate my meal, then rested for a while.

Our compound is under repair right now, so there’s a lot of grass everywhere. I decided to weed it off.
I grabbed a shovel and started clearing the compound.

I’m a big fan of farm work because I grew up with my grandma. She usually took me to the farm to help her, so I learned how to weed and cultivate. I spent over 3 hours clearing the grass.

After I was done, I went in to bathe. I was really dirty, so I took my time.
Once I was clean, I slept for hours.

In the evening, my mom and sister were back.
We caught up, talking about life and family. Then my mom said we should play Ludo my favorite board game.

Lol, she’s the one who taught me how to play, but guess what? I always beat her. She’ll tease me and say, “You don’t pity me” I just win her every time, no mercy 😂 Today wasn’t different.

We played 16 rounds.
I won 11 times and she won 5, so it ended 11–5.
She was complaining, but it’s just a game. We were happy we had that beautiful family moment together.
After that, I had dinner and headed to bed.
What a wonderful time to spend with family.
