The Dairy Game: (19/09/2026) From Fixing Our Street Road To Laundry, Market Runs, And Storing Water.

Hello everyone! Trust you're good? Welcome to another incredible episode of my dairy season with yours truly,@thankgod419 where l will be sharing with you on how wonderful my day was. Do stick along and know how l ended my day.

Today is Saturday and as we all know, Saturday is always a busy day for me. I woke up very early this morning around 6am. I said my morning prayers, arranged my room and swept a little. I didn't want to waste time because I had a lot to do.

My first plan for today was to wash my clothes and my little brother's clothes. So I checked and I discovered that our detergent had finished. I had to go and buy a new one before I can start washing. I dressed up and left the house to buy the detergent at a shop not too far from our street.On my way going, I met some of my street people where they were trying to reconstruct a small part of our road that was spoilt. The road had a little pothole that disturbs bikes and cars. So the youth in our street decided to fix it today being Saturday.

When I got there, we exchanged greetings. I stopped for a few minutes, took some pictures of the work and hailed them for the good work they are doing. After that, I continued my movement to the shop. When I arrived at the shop, I bought the detergent I wanted a big one that can wash both my clothes and my brother's own. I paid and headed back home immediately.

When I got home, I dropped the detergent inside and I decided to go back and join the people fixing the road. I felt it is good to join them because it's for the good of everybody in the street. We stayed there and worked together, we packed sand, blocked the pothole and leveled the road. It was small work but we all joined hands and did it. We finished around 11am. By that time I was already tired and a bit dusty but I was happy we achieved something. I went back home to rest a little and then I started my laundry. I soaked my clothes and my brother's clothes with the detergent I bought and started washing them one by one.

After we finished fixing our road this morning, I was so tired and dusty. I went straight back home to rest a little. As soon as I got home, the first thing I did was to look for food because hunger was already dealing with me. I was so hungry from the small work we did on the road. I went to the kitchen and I saw that my mum was at home. Fortunately for us, she had already prepared pasta for the family. I was so happy. I quickly dished my own and ate to my satisfaction. After eating, I felt much better and strong again.

Then I remembered my laundry. I arranged my clothes and my little brother's clothes together and carried them downstairs. I had already bought detergent in the morning so washing was not a problem. I started washing. Honestly, it took me a long time to finish. The clothes were many and I was already tired from the morning work, but I managed to wash all of them. I rinsed them very well and spread them on the line.

While I was still washing, my dad came downstairs and called me. He asked me to follow him to a nearby shop on our street to buy water we will drink for today. I left the clothes, washed my hands and followed him. When we got to the shop, we bought two bags of sachet water. I carried one and he carried one. We quickly returned home. On getting back, I packed the buckets and baskets I used in washing and carried them upstairs. When I got upstairs, I noticed the whole house was very dirty. So I decided to clean it up.

I swept the whole house very well and then I mopped the floor. I arranged everywhere and made the apartment look neat and fine. After all that stress, the house was now sparkling. Later in the afternoon, I went to the market to buy some things we will use to cook tomorrow's soup. I bought everything needed and returned home.

When I came back from the market in the afternoon, the first thing I did was to go and pack my clothes. I remembered I washed clothes in the afternoon and spread them outside, so I had to pack them before it gets too late. I packed all the clothes, both mine and my brother's own, and carried them upstairs. As soon as I got upstairs, I realized that we had limited water in the house. The water in our drum was almost finished.

So I had to start saving water. I took my bucket and went downstairs to fetch water little by little and pour inside our drum upstairs. I went up and down several times. It was not easy at all because I was already tired from all the work I did since morning - from the road work to washing clothes and cleaning the house.

When I was done fetching the water, I was so tired and weak. My whole body was aching me and I could not do anything again. The only thing that came to my mind was to just take my bath and eat my dinner. I quickly took my bath, ate my dinner and sat down to rest. That was how my day ended. It was a very long and stressful Saturday, but thank God I was able to achieve everything I planned to do.
