I Bought Misery

How is your day going? Mine is good, we had a little sun peeking out in the clouds earlier and we dried some clothes. I was really worried because we are running out of it, especially the kids.
But let me share with you the misery I bought one time ago.
Online shopping has made our lives much easier these days, and we can even shop any time of day, very handy for almost all of us that is trying to do as much as we can in life without neglecting our priorities. Do you love online shopping? Or have you ever tried it even once? Well I have and I have learned the art of making online shopping with the least risk of being scammed.
Now it came to me that I had to make out own undergarments, most of the undergarments I have are almost worn out and when I bought undergarments for my kids, I see something off, their garters gets loose too soon and does not fit really well on the child's body. Well I do have a sewing machine bought for the same purpose( I really wanted to make my own garments especially that the market seem to forget in making modest clothes and also, I had to have fabric supplies to make some. Besides, my over confident mind is driving me crazy and I really think I could to it.
So I bought three quarter kilos of elastics in different varieties; one quarter kilo of 1/4 inch thick in white, another one in black, and one 1/8 inch thick in black. the total purchase is 212 pesos and I paid another 75 pesos for the shipping fee. and al was so sulit (worth it).
I really don't know how wide are those elastics and thought getting one each size will be a good idea

I am a prisoner of my job and going to the City is a hassle for me. Traffic, population, pretty things calling for your attention, and growing wants to have them are one of the things I really avoided. But actually, I prefer to order online because it's convenient and I can review the product a lot of times before buying the item.
The above is what I bought but before it became like that. I had to face and solve a misery.
It was very funny because whenever I order online, I really count the days on how long it takes to reach me and get very excited wen I see it on the nearest hub and be delivered the next day. So when the item came in. I opened them and I was glad that the elastics were a lot and complete. But the problem is that it was not rolled and it tangles a lot; a total misery in fact.
But being a crafter is one advantage; I didn't let my emotions overpower me and started thinking of ways that will make the situation better. Now we have old card boards in the office and I used them to roll the elastics in it. A simple method I learned from my sister who do cross stitch back then, only that the threads she uses were smaller.
Using a single card broad is not enough, it bends whenever I roll the elastics so I doubled it and too bad my stapler could not really bind the two that I still need to punch the ends to hold and did it back to back.
Not only that, I also made a cut for the end to hold so it will not loosen whenever I don't need it yet and it made the stock tidy! I am very grateful to know be very observant and able to apply the things I observed in my life.
I spent all my lunch break fixing all those elastics and thought that I really did a great job after seeing all those once in tangle all neatly arranged and now easy to use. A pat on my shoulder!
But it's not much of a misery though, I realized. it was a wonderful challenge for me to lengthen my patience and I was so happy I did it.
