I have always found the sheer number of manuscripts of the Bible quite astounding. I actually use these evidences to strengthen the faith of new believers.
However, when dealing with unbelievers, I usually approach the conversation presuppostionally.
Amen ironmanmatt! I talk with a lot of unbelievers and new believers as well, it's nice to be able to point them to this information.
I am also quite astounded that in this day and age people still cling to the argument that the Bible has been changed and corrupted, against the volume of historical and documentary evidence to the contrary.
But, in the end, we all have a choice to believe what we wish.

I remember when my husband was studing they were translating the bible into Afrikaans and some of his professors worked on the translation heard the most wonderful things from him when he came home from class.
That's so awesome bigbear. His studies sound so interesting! I love the stories that he posts.
